The Women Network for Empowerment (WNE) was founded in 2020 by Miss. Lucy Davis in the Chicken Soup Factory community of Liberia. What began as a small Susu savings group of 22 women has grown into a thriving, legally registered organization dedicated to uplifting women—especially those without access to formal education—through financial empowerment and community support.
Miss. Lucy Davis, a high school dropout turned entrepreneur, was inspired by her personal journey to create a space where women could support each other, grow businesses, and build leadership skills. With overwhelming community support and clear impact, WNE expanded to include a Village Savings and Loan Scheme, helping thousands of women improve their lives.
Engage communities and stakeholders in advancing women’s rights and creating lasting social change.
Promote gender equality by challenging stereotypes and advocating for inclusive policies and practices.
Village Savings & Loan – Offering low-interest financial support and peer networking
Bible Listening – Promoting spiritual growth through translated scripture.
Empowerment (Lending Hands) – Providing material assistance like food and goods.
Conflict Resolution – Ensuring peace, safety, and harmony within our communities
Economic Empowerment
We support women’s financial independence through entrepreneurship programs, vocational training, and access to economic resources.
Leadership & Advocacy
We cultivate women leaders and advocate for policies that promote gender equality, inclusion, and social justice at all levels.
Community Engagement & Solidarity
We build strong networks and foster collaboration among women, communities, and partners to drive collective action and social change.
